omg MCI just let go of my phone bill... , after bitching the lady out, i learned that this apparently happened on may 21st. but my june22 stmt shows them still on. i've been TRYING to cancel them for over a year, so, as you can imagine i was pretty fucking pissed that they STILL hadn't let go. i mean, i've had my own phone for 13 or 14 years, and never once has a phone company held on past the time that i switched carriers. never! i've gone from AT&T to sprint and back, and forth and back again, now i'm with qwest. i might have even had MCI once in there. oh yeah i did. and they billed me for 3 months after my phone was disconnected. the bills were forwarded to my new address, but, being me, i didn't open them for like 6 months after that. and i never paid them. i guess they just figured it out. i'm lucky it didn't go to collections!

Anyway, i signed up with qwest in april 2000, and started receiving bills a couple months later. i never looked at my regular bill. i constantly got calls from MCI asking me to switch. i mean like more than once a day. they called me constantly for weeks.

i finally told the guy, "NO, i have a BETTER company that has better rates and doesn't charge me the monthly fee, so there!"

and he said,"well you've still got us for your local long-distance so you might as well add your state-to-state."

i said, "WHAT??!!!"

and he said that i was, "still paying the $4.95 monthly fee, so why not get both services?"

i told him to "cancel me immediately!!!"

to which he replied, "Oh no. I'm a manager and can't do that. Please call our 800 number ...blah blah blah [anal crap coming out of his ass]."

so then i called qwest and they said, "unless i actually specifically asked for local long distance," they wouldn't have switched that service over to them. and it's "not on the form so i couldn't have asked for it."

isn't it just my luck that that's the one fucking form i just mailed without copying ??? (no doubt because the post office copier is always broken)

i remember the form too. they had actually sent me $50 and had the terms of our agreement neatly outlined. one of them was to provide an email address, which there was no space for on the form, and i remembered to write it in there somewhere so i wouldn't have to pay the $50 back! ~lmao

i wonder if i did copy it. haven't done my filing for years. .....i'm gonna find that fucking form!
